The 1950's was a real turning point in fashion. Christian Dior, Cristobal Balenciaga and Jacques Fath were the sculptors of a new era and created a new women. Jacques Fath today, almost completely forgotten, was a perfectionist and maybe the most successful designer in Paris. He was a charming man and the elegance itself. In 1952, two years before he died at the age of 42 from a blood cancer, his fashion house in the Rue Francois I, was telling 550 workers and sold his dresses all over the world to the most elegant women.
Jacques Fath was a signature for pure and absolute Haute Couture reaching such high level in quality and work that will influence his assistants and later well known designers as Hubert de Givenchy and Valentino.
Soon I will publish a larger article dedicated to Jacques Fath.
